Carson Optical's black 10x42 TD-042ED 3D-Series Binoculars feature an array of optical technologies to produce a device that is ideally suited for birding, hunting, or hiking. Their optical performance begins with phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms to enhance image color fidelity, contrast, and resolution. Next, they employ extra-low-dispersion glass that corrects chromatic and spherical aberrations to enhance image clarity, and further increase contrast and color definition. Carson then applies their proprietary HD (high-definition) optical coating to fully multicoat the optical path for improved light transmission which ensures bright, sharp images, especially in low-light conditions.
Rubberized black armor makes this 3D Binoculars rugged and shock resistant. Thumb grooves on the under-side of the optical tubes and texture hand-holds make for a pleasant, non-slip, ergonomic grip. The body is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed, making them waterproof and fogproof. The TD-042ED combines twist-up eyecups with a long eye relief, resulting in a great combination for long duration observation sessions with or without eye wear.
