Compared to "two-eyed" binoculars with similar magnification, monoculars are usually smaller, lighter and more practical to use - just the thing for nature lovers, birdwatchers, mountaineers, sailors or hunters - but also for visitors to concerts or sporting events.
With the Monocular 8x42, BRAUN Photo Technik introduces a small telescope that offers 8x magnification and enables fast object detection without "image jitter". The monocular's optics are made of multi-coated BK-7 glass and provide a sharp, high-contrast, true-color image. The large 42mm objective lens collects a lot of light, which is why the monocular can still be used well in low-light conditions with a light intensity of 27.6 and a twilight index of 18.3. The wide field of view of 131 meters at 1000 meters makes the instrument suitable for quickly capturing distant objects. The closest focusing distance, on the other hand, is only 4 meters.
