Stealth Birding Quick Release Binocular Harness

The Stealth Birding Quick Release Binocular Harness, which fits almost all of the binoculars we sell at Stealth Birding, with lenses up to 56 mm. This system has two components: the pouch and the harness. Both are robust, water repellent and durable.

This harness can be used with almost all binoculars because it’s designed to connect to the lug, which is the part of the binoculars where the neck strap you usually receive with binoculars attaches.

This harness is well padded and well shaped for the torso. This means it’s a lot more comfortable than a traditional neck strap. The harness sits comfortably on your back and can be clipped together at the front to hold your binoculars or, with the option I prefer, with the included pouch.

With the pouch you will be able to use the quick roll-up rollover neoprene sleeve to protect your binoculars against scratches, knocks and rain. This pouch allows you have your binoculars on hand in a split second, without compromising protection. Inside the waterproof pouch there are two pockets, including a zippered section. This means that, as well as holding your binoculars, the Stealth Birding Harness has room for other essentials, such as lens cleaners and lens caps.

The Stealth Birding Quick Release Harness secures your binoculars to your torso, preventing them from bouncing about as you walk, and ideally distributing the weight. This ensures it is always comfortable to carry your binoculars, especially when out on a birding trip.

How To Connect Harness

1.

You will need to thread the webbing from the bottom lens side of the binocular up through the lug on the side towards the top eyepiece side of the binocular.

You will then need to connect the webbing back through the centre of the black clip on the webbing and tighten.

If the webbing fits through the lug of your binocular please skip to step 5 .

If the webbing does not fit through the lug of your binoculars please go to step 2 .

2.

If the lug of your binocular is to narrow for the webbing to thread through you will need to use the included loop connectors to connect your binoculars instead.

First of all you will need to detach the loop connector from the female quick disconnect.

3.

You will then need to thread the cord through the binoculars lug. You will need to create an opening large enough to loop through the remaining part of the connecter.

4.

You will now need to pull the connector system tight to form a secure hold.

You are now ready to reconnect the female quick disconnect back to the loop connector

In step 1 we connected the webbing to the binocular, now though you will need to connect the webbing of the harness to this loop connector instead of directly to the binocular like we done previously.

5.

After you have connected both sides of your binoculars you will need to clip the webbing back to the top of the harness.

6.

You are now ready to put the binocular harness on.

So put the harness over your back

7.

Clip the male and female clips together on both sides at the front.

8.

This will allow you to wear harness without the pouch.

9.

The option I prefer is to use the included pouch.

To put this on it’s as simple as unclipping the male and female clips and connecting the pouch in between these clips.

10.

That’s it you're ready now to head out and use your binoculars.
