Stealth Birding Quick Release Binocular Harness

The Stealth Birding Quick Release Binocular Harness, which fits almost all of the binoculars we sell at Stealth Birding, with lenses up to 56 mm. This system has two components: the pouch and the harness. Both are robust, water repellent and durable.

This harness can be used with almost all binoculars because it’s designed to connect to the lug, which is the part of the binoculars where the neck strap you usually receive with binoculars attaches.

This harness is well padded and well shaped for the torso. This means it’s a lot more comfortable than a traditional neck strap. The harness sits comfortably on your back and can be clipped together at the front to hold your binoculars or, with the option I prefer, with the included pouch.

With the pouch you will be able to use the quick roll-up rollover neoprene sleeve to protect your binoculars against scratches, knocks and rain. This pouch allows you have your binoculars on hand in a split second, without compromising protection. Inside the waterproof pouch there are two pockets, including a zippered section. This means that, as well as holding your binoculars, the Stealth Birding Harness has room for other essentials, such as lens cleaners and lens caps.

The Stealth Birding Quick Release Harness secures your binoculars to your torso, preventing them from bouncing about as you walk, and ideally distributing the weight. This ensures it is always comfortable to carry your binoculars, especially when out on a birding trip.

How To Connect Harness

1.

You will need to thread the webbing from the bottom lens side of the binocular up through the lug on the side towards the top eyepiece side of the binocular.

You will then need to connect the webbing back through the centre of the black clip on the webbing and tighten.

If the webbing fits through the lug of your binocular please skip to step 5.

If the webbing does not fit through the lug of your binoculars please go to step 2.

2.

If the lug of your binocular is to narrow for the webbing to thread through you will need to use the included loop connectors to connect your binoculars instead.

First of all you will need to detach the loop connector from the female quick disconnect.

3.

You will then need to thread the cord through the binoculars lug. You will need to create an opening large enough to loop through the remaining part of the connecter.

4.

You will now need to pull the connector system tight to form a secure hold.

You are now ready to reconnect the female quick disconnect back to the loop connector

In step 1 we connected the webbing to the binocular, now though you will need to connect the webbing of the harness to this loop connector instead of directly to the binocular like we done previously.

5.

After you have connected both sides of your binoculars you will need to clip the webbing back to the top of the harness.

6.

You are now ready to put the binocular harness on.

So put the harness over your back

7.

Clip the male and female clips together on both sides at the front.

8.

This will allow you to wear harness without the pouch.

9.

The option I prefer is to use the included pouch.

To put this on it’s as simple as unclipping the male and female clips and connecting the pouch in between these clips.

10.

That’s it you're ready now to head out and use your binoculars.

Excellent harness

I was really pleased with this harness - it has become an important accessory for my binoculars.

This is a good quality piece of kit, unobtrusive and fit perfectly with my Bresser Pirsche 10 x 42 binoculars, protecting them, keeping them secure against the body and making them easy to get hold off when out bird watching.

I much prefer using my binoculars with this type of harness rather than just a neck strap. The main benefit for me is it stops your neck getting sore as the harness distributes the load of the binoculars across your body rather than your neck.

This is a well thought out harness, has an internal zip pocket and 2 compartments which are useful.

Fab free gift

I purchased a pair of binoculars which I am over the moon every time I use them and had an option to choose from 3 lovely free gifts too. I chosen this beautiful and very handy bag. Highly recommend this bag as it is excellent product. If you thinking of getting one buy this one as you won’t be disappointed and it’s Definitely worth the money but I am so pleased that I had an option to get it as a free gift. Thank you James!!

Excellent purchase

Bought these as was looking for a mid range pair of binoculars with good reviews. Stealth Birding gave the best value deal and a little gift that was an added bonus although not used yet. The service was excellent and the binoculars live up to their great reviews would recommend to anyone wanting a high quality, comfortable weight pair of binoculars as the clarity is really brilliant and the zoom perfect for me.

Excellent purchase

I found the company very quick and efficient to send out the binoculars. They are a quality, smooth-operating piece of equipment that are a good weight to carry on walks as well as birdwatching. The free harness is absolutely brilliant! Easy to assemble and such a bonus not having the strap hanging round the back of one's neck. The harness is easy to put on and spreads the weight of the binoculars really well. I put it on beneath coat/zipped jacket and then this can shield if there are spots of rain or the bag can easily be attached. Very pleased. A friend who is an eye surgeon brought a pair for his wife and had read all the reviews but should have got them from this site and obtained the free gift. Wonderful service. Thanks very much.

Added Bonus

Excellent binoculars (Bresser) and then this harness which turns out to be very good, even better because it was a free gift - what's not to like! Cannot fault the ordering and delivery process.

An excellent free gift!

I was initially very sceptical with this free gift when I ordered it with my new Bresser Condor binoculars. I was wrong! It is excellent. It’s comfortable, lightweight and keep the new lenses safe and secure and distributes the weight well. I thoroughly recommend these as a result.

Super freebie

The harness was thrown in when I bought bins from Stealth Birding. You just need to check the RRP to see that this is a pretty good deal. I researched harnesses before opting for this ‘freebie’ instead of the others on offer. The construction material has a neoprene feel. There’s a detachable pouch with front pocket for extras like lens cloth, phone etc. There’s also a substantial collar that folds over the top of the bins if/when the weather turns bad. This piece of kit is superior to most on the market and works a treat.

Stealth Birding Harness and Binoculars

Lockdown walks had stimulated an interest in birdlife and I was pleased to discover the Stealth Birding site which gave clear and detailed advice on choosing binoculars. I went with one of their recommendations, choosing the GPO Passion ED 8x42 and the harness was offered as a free gift. I am delighted with both. The binocular image is very clear even in low light, they fit well to the hand and are easy to adjust. I am no expert but they are a great replacement for the Soviet-Russian made bins that I bought as a teenager in the 1960s which I believe were copies of earlier Zeiss models. The harness is well made makes for secure and convenient access. Altogether a great combination. I was mistakenly charged for the harness but Stealth Birding were very prompt with a refund so I felt I had good service and would recommend the site for beginning birders.
