Carson Optical designed the 10x42 JR Close-Up Binoculars with a magnification and objective lens size favoured by birders, boaters,, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts for their performance and versatility—ensuring that they will quickly become an essential piece of your kit.

Their wide exit pupils and long eye relief, when coupled with the enhanced light-gathering ability of the objectives, makes them ideal for use in all light conditions from the predawn hours through the day and well into dusk. Complementing these features are compact BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, which maximize light transmission and produce high-contrast images with accurate colour fidelity and improved clarity.

To withstand the rigors of the trail, Carson nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed the optical tubes to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging in extreme temperature and weather conditions. The chassis is wrapped in a protective rubber armour that is textured to provide a slip-resistant grip in cold and wet weather. For long-duration glassing sessions at the range, in a blind, or on a patio, the JR Close-Up binoculars can be tripod mounted with an optional adapter to provide easy hands-free use with greatly reduced vibrations and no arm fatigue.
