Rix Pocket K2 Thermal Imaging Monocular

Both are pocket-sized handheld thermals with the same battery, display resolution, and design. The K2 uses a 256×192 sensor with a 9mm lens and 1.7x base magnification, with a 512-yard detection range. The K3 steps up to a 384×288 sensor with a 15mm lens and 2x base magnification for a longer 853-yard range and finer detail. Choose the K2 if you want the most affordable entry point into thermal, and don’t need the extra range.

RIX+ is the companion app for POCKET K2, available on iOS and Android. To connect: press and hold the Menu button on the device to open the main menu, turn Wi-Fi on, then open RIX+ on your phone and scan for the device. The default Wi-Fi name and password are shown in the device’s info menu.

Yes — it has 32GB of built-in storage for photo and video capture at 800×600 resolution (.mp4/.jpg), which can also be transferred to your phone via the RIX+ app.

Firmware updates are done wirelessly through the RIX+ app. Connect the device to the app via Wi-Fi, and the app will notify you if a new version is available — just follow the on-screen prompts. Make sure the battery is sufficiently charged before starting an update.

All RIX Optics complete devices come with a standard 3-year warranty. For thermal imaging devices featuring 384x288 resolution detectors or higher resolution detectors, an additional 2-year extended warranty is available upon submitting the Warranty Registration Form.
