Bresser Pirsch ED 8x56 Binoculars + Gift
Whilst slightly larger and heavier than the 8x42 version, the distinguishing feature on this instrument are these two large objective lenses. With a diameter of 56mm they are able to gather more light, which in combination with their fully multi-coated optical system ensures you are presented with the brightest views, even in low light situations.
Further boosting light transmission and something that sets them apart from much of the competition are the very special Dielectric Coatings on the prisms that have a reflectivity of more than 99%.
As well as this, Bresser also uses high-performance ED glass elements in the lenses which reduce colour fringing and thus produces higher-quality views than many non-ED glass versions.
The open bridge body design on these Bresser Pirsch ED binoculars opens the barrels giving you a greater surface area to hold onto whilst for a more secure grip without any sacrifice to the overall strength of the chassis. Adding to this is the rubberized armour, which not only improves grip further but adds another layer of protection to the optics contained within.
Fully sealed, the interior of this instrument is filled with argon gas making them not only waterproof but also prevents fogging of the internal lens surfaces which often affects non protected binoculars when you get a rapid temperature change, like stepping out of the house on a cold winters day.
The twist-up eyecups have two intermediate click stops and thus offer an excellent level of customisation to ensure you achieve the full image without black rings on the edges of the view. Adding to this is more than 19mm of eye-relief which makes this binocular an excellent choice if you wear glasses.
The and indeed all Bresser Pirsch ED binoculars come with an excellent quality, well-padded, carry case. Adding to this you also get a broad, well-padded neck strap for maximum comfort when carrying out in the field, which for this larger 56mm model is an important feature. As well as this, Bresser also includes a Rain-Guard and objective lens covers and you also find a good quality microfiber cleaning cloth.
Lastly, these Pirsch ED binoculars are backed up by Bresser’s premium level guarantee, that covers them for 30 years and which can easily be extended to life after online registration.
So to sum up, these large lenses, combined with high-end glass and coatings make sure these binoculars deliver a bright, high-quality view and thus this particular model will suit the birder wildlife observer or general outdoor enthusiast who requires a high level of performance even in very low light conditions. Note, these features also make this a good option as a binocular for wide-angle astronomy.
